DEBBIE CROWELL, photography and pottery
Debbie's photography has a symbolic quality to it that seeks to convey the importance of humanity's relationship with the Earth. By using special darkroom techniquess she often portrays the human form integrated within nature as a metaphor for our interconnectedness. These metaphorical images are part of a larger human mythology that views the universe as one harmonious being. This mythology reflects a synthesis of the Native American worldview with new understandings of a post-modern vision of the world. Debbie hopes her work represents a sacred perspective that helps us live in harmony with nature and ourselves within a more universal context. |
